Mournful – Muted Truths – Single

“Some people like to keep lots of secrets, some people have a tendency to be a pathological liar, and some people just simply want to hide their feelings, figuring out how to express them. And what if, one more time, what if… all those feelings, all those lies, all those secrets were spoken out and roamed through people’s ears and mind. What would you do? How would you deal with all those risks that arise from these ‘truths’?

But then again, what is ‘truth’? Is ‘truth’ even real? Is it absolute? Which truth? Don’t people have their own version of truths? You know that, don’t you? But yous lot still keen on searching for the truth. More or less, we’re trying to capture all those questions and confusion through “Muted Truths”.

This song came spontaneously during our very first time jamming together at Gemma’s family villa in the northern hill of Bandung. It is one of the first three songs that we crafted together as a band.”
