A continuation of what was once a bedroom project, Hakkon sees a great deal of promise as a bearer of the vexillum metallum. Blending their abrasive sound and almost-mercurial progression with pop-leaning sensibilities, Hakkon’s debut EP, can be gratingly ironic at times yet also a fresh take on the rather-saturated genre.
