    Skyscraper Towards the Sun is the second full length album by Golden Mammoth after 3- years of break from their \u2018Metaphoric Quadraphonic\u2019. It is a neo-psychedelia album, but a slightly more diverse experimentation mixing the roots of Syabil\u2019s (the brain of Golden Mammoth) music taste in Rock, Krautrock, Blues, Funk, Baroque and smooth jazz.<\/p>\n

    The album\u2019s concept and storyline explores on Syabil\u2019s train of thoughts, being a young adult in the 21st century. Hence, the lyrics and song writing has different themes throughout the album. He recites dealing with anxiety, death, abandonment, capitalism and isolation. In result, these thoughts stack up into a massive skyscraper, (an analogy between the obsession of men constructing tall buildings and the obsession of an individual with overthinking)<\/p>\n

    The album was recorded at Syabil\u2019s room in Putrajaya, additional drums and guitar takes were done at Mustaj Records, Damansara. The album took 2 years to finish because the band wasn\u2019t satisfied with their mixes. The band decided to send their tracks to Michael Badger, a mixing engineer known for his work with King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard in Australia. The album was then mastered by Pandji Dharma in Jakarta, Indonesia.<\/p>\n
